Education

Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics/ Statistics/ Finance.
Masters/Diploma in Actuarial Science.
Must have passed at least 1-3 actuarial exams conducted by recognized bodies such as the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (IFoA), UK, SOA.

Experience

At least 5 years

Additional Requirements

Minimum 5 years of experience in an actuarial role within the life insurance sector.
Proficiency with actuarial software and tools is preferred.
Strong skills in statistical and financial modeling.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Conduct actuarial valuations and risk assessments for life insurance products.
Develop and maintain pricing models for new and existing insurance policies/Products.
Analyze financial data to ensure company solvency and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Provide recommendations for product design and premium structures based on market research.
Collaborate with underwriters, data analysts, and senior management to align actuarial strategies with business objectives.
Prepare reports for internal and external stakeholders, including regulators.
Monitor trends in mortality, morbidity, and investment returns to enhance actuarial assumptions.
Analyze statistical data and expenses to forecast future risks and liabilities.
Develop and refine life insurance products to meet market demands and regulatory requirements.
Monitor and evaluate financial performance to ensure long-term sustainability.
Advise management on risk management and investment strategies.
