Requirements

Education

• Must be L.L.B. from any recognized University/Institute having no third division/class in the academic background.

Additional Requirements

• Age at most 45 years

• Advocate in any district level court (Preferably Bangladesh Supreme Court).
• Knowledge on Artha Rin Adalat Ain, Banking Company Laws, Finance Company Act, 2023.
• Practicing experience will be preferred.
• Excellence computer skills especially MS Word, Excel, Power Point.
• Age not exceeding 45 years.

Responsibilities & Context

Islamic Finance and Investment PLC., the first Islamic Shariah-based Financial Institution of the country is looking for Head of Legal/Legal Officer (Preferably PO to AVP).

Job Responsibilities:

• Monitoring of Legal Cases & Legal Matters.
• Review all documentations, which have legal implication.
• Follow up court cases/attend Court & support the Lawyers in respect of Court cases filed by and against IFIPLC.
• Preparing all reports for Bangladesh Bank, internal and other regulators.
• Checking, drafting plaints/complaints, legal notice and any other suit/case related documents.
• Maintain liaison with panel lawyer, branches and stakeholders.
• Drafting of legal documents/deeds/agreements etc.
• Give Legal opinion and legal vetting.
• Review Investment & Mortgage documents against investment granted to the customers and ensure that they are in order.
• Participate in discussions/meetings where legal decisions are required.
• Attend Court and argue cases on behalf of IFIPLC.
• Identify and mitigate legal risks related to financial products, services and operations.
• Any other job assigned by competent authority.
