Requirements

Education

• Bachelor/Honors

• Graduation or Post-Graduation in Banking & Finance/ Marketing/ Economics/ Business Administration or other related discipline from any UGC approved local or reputable foreign universities with no third class or equivalent in any certification;
• At least 12 years of uninterrupted service of banking experience including at least 5 years in Agent Banking at a senior executive or similar position in reputed commercial banks;
• Having professional training and proven success records in Agent Banking;
• Ability to lead and work independently, consult and clarify where necessary and make informed and firm decisions;
• Strategic business planning with large customer base and strong recovery ability.

Interpersonal Skills:

Excellent communication and leadership skills; Strong self-motivation and drive; Target oriented and capable to take challenges; Adapting and responding to change.

Responsibilities & Context

The Head of Agent Banking is responsible for managing existing agent outlets and opening of prospective profitable outlets across the country to provide small-scale financial services by offering cost-effective banking services and minimizing the operating and establishment costs for banks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Smoothly running all agent banking operations and business as well as growing enormous network for profit maximization and strengthening the portfolio;
• Manage and coordinate agents and agent banking officials to meet the business targets and ensure smooth and safe operations and services;Monitor business and customer feedback to better assess the performance of the agents;
• Design, plan and formulate strategies to achieve business goals as to Agent Banking;
• Travel extensively to different branches/agent points across the country to enhance business portfolio of Agent Network;
• Implement, monitor and ensure compliance of the policy, guidelines, and circular of Bangladesh Bank related to Agent Banking;
• Maintain liaison with the Agents and related stakeholders to implement Agent Banking smoothly;
• Monitor financial performance and budgets of the agents and collaborate with senior management to develop and implement strategies for growth;
• Continuously monitor and follow up with clients on compliance issues and ensure business covenants;
• Recover stressed Investment and NPL;
• Perform any other tasks assigned by the competent authority of the bank;
