Additional Requirements

  • Proven experience in network troubleshooting, PC troubleshooting, and Layer 1 support.
  • Strong knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.) and network hardware.
  • Familiarity with operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux) and common software applications.
  • Hands-on experience with cabling, patch panels, and network infrastructure.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+, CompTIA A+ or equivalent) are a plus.

Responsibilities & Context

Job Description:

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in network troubleshooting, PC troubleshooting, and Layer 1 support. If you are passionate about solving technical issues, ensuring seamless network operations, and providing excellent IT support, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:

Network Troubleshooting:

  • Diagnose and resolve network connectivity issues, including LAN/WAN, routers, switches and branch offices.
  • • Monitor network performance and ensure optimal uptime and reliability.
  • • Assist in configuring and maintaining network devices up to layer 1.

PC Troubleshooting:

  • Provide technical support for hardware, printer, CCTV and software issues on desktops, laptops, and peripherals.
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot operating systems and applications.
  • Perform routine maintenance and upgrades on PCs.

Layer 1 Support:

  • Troubleshoot and resolve physical layer issues, including cabling, patch panels, and network ports etc.
  • Ensure proper installation and maintenance of network infrastructure (e.g., fiber optics, copper cables).
  • Collaborate with vendors and contractors for cabling and infrastructure projects.

General IT Support:

  • Respond to IT support tickets and provide timely resolutions.
  • Document issues, solutions, and procedures for knowledge sharing.
  • Assist in IT asset management and inventory tracking.
