Responsibilities & Context

Consultant for Establishing an Export Company in Bangladesh

Job Description: We are seeking a highly experienced consultant to help us establish an export business in Bangladesh. Our company aims to export non-perishable products to international markets. The hired professional will be responsible for handling all legal, regulatory, and operational requirements to set up and launch the export business successfully.

Job Location: Dhaka, Bangladesh (Remote/On-Site as needed)

Key Responsibilities:

Company Registration & Licensing:

• Register the business with the Registrar of Joint Stock Companies and Firms (RJSC).
• Obtain a Trade License from the local municipal authority.
• Register with the Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA) if required.

Export-Related Certifications & Documentation:

• Obtain an Export Registration Certificate (ERC) from the Office of the Chief Controller of Imports & Exports (CCI&E).
• Assist in obtaining a Tax Identification Number (TIN), Business Identification Number (BIN), and ensure VAT registration.
• Guide in opening a Business Bank Account and securing an Export Permit from the Bangladesh Bank.
• Assist in obtaining necessary Chamber of Commerce, Export Promotion Bureau (EPB), and Industry membership for export-related benefits.

Product-Specific Compliance & Certification:

• Ensure compliance with BSTI (Bangladesh Standards and Testing Institution) for product quality and standards.
• Obtain any necessary environmental clearance or safety certifications.
• Assist in securing Customs Bond Licenses if required.

Export Logistics & Market Readiness:

• Facilitate Customs clearance procedures and necessary export documentation.
• Guide the company through the Letter of Credit (L/C) procedures.
• Assist in selecting freight forwarders, customs agents, and international logistics partners.

Regulatory Compliance & Ongoing Advisory:

• Ensure the company adheres to all export regulations and compliance standards in Bangladesh.
• Provide strategic guidance on market entry, international trade policies, and business growth.
