• Candidate having Master’s degree in any subject of Agriculture will be given preference.

Working Experience and Other Qualifications

• Minimum four (4) years of working experience in project management with at least 1 years working on food system, agro-ecology.
• Having working experience on sustainable agriculture, food system, agro-ecology, market & value chain development would be preferred.
• Relevant working experience with PKSF or any project funded by multi-lateral development partners would be preferred.
• Good computer knowledge (MS office suite, typing both English and Bangla).
• Have willingness to work at field level with farmers
• Fluency in English and Bengali languages is essential.

• Must have a valid motorcycle driving license

Age Limit: Maximum 45 years of age on the last date of application.

Duration of the Position: The employee will initially be hired for a one-year term, with the possibility of organization core staffs based on satisfactory performance.

Workplace: Work at project office (Chuadanga) with frequent field visit (at least 50% of time) in Sub-project

Working AreasJob Location/Sub-project Working Areas: The project will be implemented across Chuadanga and Jhenaidah districts.

Responsibilities & Context

Job Context

WAVE Foundation is a civil society organization established in 1990, has been implementing multifaceted activities for the socio economic development of the poor and marginalized as well as the establishment of universal human rights and good governance. Besides, the organization is conducting issue based policy advocacy and campaigns. WAVE is driven by its motto ‘Together for Better Life’ towards the vision of establishing ‘A just and Prosperous society’. WAVE has organized its activities into 7 programs: 1) Poverty Eradication and Livelihood Development 2) Community Financing and Entrepreneurship Development 3) Agri-Food System Transformation 4) Governance, Rights and Justice 5) Social Development and Youth Empowerment 6) Climate Justice and Renewable Energy Promotion and 7) Go Green. WAVE Foundation is implementing a project titled ‘Establishment of Agroecological Learning Centre for Extension of Environment Friendly Safe Food Production’ as a part of the ‘Rural Microenterprise Transformation Project (RMTP)’. For implementing the project in the working area of Chuadanga and Jhenaidah WAVE Foundation is seeking qualified candidate for the position of the ‘Field Coordinator’.

Key Responsibilities

The ‘Field Coordinator’ is responsible for overall implementation, supervision and monitoring of the project at the field. His/her duties and responsibilities, which are essential but not limited to:

• Coordinate project management activities, resources, equipment, and information.§  Provide strategic direction for project implementation and supervise the project.
• Identify and mitigate project risks and issues to ensure successful project delivery.
• Contribute climate-resilient food systems based on agro-ecology.§  Facilitate project meetings, training, and workshops etc.
• Manage project budgets, procurement, reimbursement, as well as track project performance.
• Ensure and supervise documentation on events, program learning’s and impact, case studies, and reports.
• Ensure and supervise preparation and submission of project progress reports in a timely manner (monthly, quarterly, yearly).
• Maintain regular communication and collaboration with PKSF regarding sub-project implementation.
• Maintain liaison and coordination with local service provider as well as govt. offices such as DAE, DoE etc.
• Report to senior management regarding project progress regularly.
• Any other tasks or duties assigned by the senior management of the WAVE Foundation.

Salary and Allowances

• Monthly consolidated salary is BDT 50,000 with early increment as per project provision.
• Other admissible benefits (Festival Bonus, Bangla Noboborsho allowance, Mobile allowance, etc.) as per the organization’s policy/project provision.
• Salary and other admissible benefits (if any) are inclusive of all taxes as imposed by the government of Bangladesh. Taxes will be deducted at sources as per government rules.
