Responsibilities & Context

Job Context:

Gana Unnayan Kendra (GUK) Bangladesh is looking for a qualified and committed Manager-Sales and Marketing for its medium scale Food & Beverage Industry with proven track record of sales and marketing of bakery products. The position will be responsible to oversee overall management of marketing operation which includes planning and managing the sales team for reaching set targets, assist in market need assessment, resolve constraints in market promotion and maintain strong relationship with key market players like depot, dealers etc. The Food and Beverage industry is one of the social enterprises of GUK, established not only for making profit but a means for social services thus operates with the spirit of a Social Enterprise. Social Enterprises are one of the major commercial ventures of GUK operated to achieve following 3 key objectives.

They are;

  •       Promoting Brand Value by offering best quality products/services at affordable costs/price.
  •       Creating employment opportunities for youths.
  •       Generating revenues to support welfare activities of GUK.

Now GUK is looking for a dynamic market player in the position of Manager- sales & marketing who will be solely responsible for the sales and market promotion of GUK’s Foods and Beverage Industries through providing technical leadership and overall management direction to sales team aiming to establish the enterprise financially profitable and socially acceptable branded products and services. The potential candidate must be a good team player, demonstrate excellent communication skills, and always be thinking of the next idea. Being a custodian of the brand the ideal candidate must possess deeper interest to work on various marketing platforms and accept challenges to increase sales and promote brand value of the company products.

Job responsibilities:

  •       Should be passionate about marketing campaigns and is always looking for ways to improve brand awareness?
  •       Engage in weekly Product Life Cycle Management & Product Launch meetings with sales team and the factory manager.
  •       Responsible for the development, and implementation of a marketing plan, including the development and maintenance of a contact list for the dealers / clients.
  •       Lead and guide sales team to ensure overall occupancy goals are met and industry benchmarks are achieved.
  •       Responsible for all marketing and sales activities of the company.
  •       Develop and implement the strategic sales and marketing plan which will focus on revenue, customer, and market expansion
  •       Maintain primary responsibility for sales of existing products and open up new opportunities of adding new products and access to new market segments.
  •       Identify and communicate creative and effective solutions to existing and new client needs without undermining company interests and benefits.
  •       Collaborate and work with the sales team of on new products and formulation capabilities.
  •       Develop & manage efficient sales plans for new channels for sales promotion.
  •       Maintain a database for potential clients and referral contacts.
  •       Maintain a flexible schedule to accommodate the needs and nature of business and clients.
  •       Ability and willingness to train and develop his/her sales team.
  •       Ability to organize need based marketing campaign for sales promotion.
