Prior experience working in refugee camps and/or host communities in Cox’s Bazar is preferred.
Sound understanding of protection principles, GBV prevention, and food security interventions.
Strong communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to ride a motorcycle with a valid driving license is an advantage.
Proficiency in Bangla and Chittagonian; knowledge of Rohingya language is an asset.
Experience in operating apps and digital devices

Organizational Brief: The Center for Natural Resource Studies (CNRS) is a prominent environmental non-governmental organization (NGO) in Bangladesh, established in 1994. Since its inception, CNRS has actively engaged in its mission and has garnered recognition from various local, national, and international stakeholders, including government bodies and funding agencies, by showcasing innovative approaches and delivering significant learning outcomes.

Background: The project titled “Client-Centered Humanitarian Response: Improving the Lives of Crisis-Affected People” is funded by the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA) and implemented with technical support from the International Rescue Committee (IRC). It aims to strengthen food security and protection for disaster-affected, marginalized, and climate-vulnerable communities in southern Bangladesh, with a particular focus on the Rohingya refugee camps and host communities in Cox’s Bazar. The project specifically addresses the urgent needs of women, girls, and children who are at heightened risk of protection and rights violations, especially in the context of recurring natural disasters such as cyclones and seasonal floods. Aligned with the Bangladesh Humanitarian Response Plan (HRP) 2024–2025, the initiative responds to complex humanitarian challenges amidst ongoing political instability. Key interventions include the provision of cash assistance, cash-for-work opportunities, agricultural inputs, gender-based violence (GBV) awareness, distribution of dignity kits, health services, and protection support. The most food-insecure households—such as female-headed families, lactating mothers, and those impacted by disasters—are prioritized for assistance. Cash-for-work activities involve community engagement in debris removal, water source restoration, and small-scale infrastructure rehabilitation. To promote long-term food security, the project incorporates climate-smart agricultural practices and nutrition-sensitive training. Collaboration with government bodies and community-based organizations ensures sustainability and inclusive access. The project also emphasizes green procurement, gender equality, and community resilience, with a strong focus on empowering women, youth, and marginalized populations.

CNRS, in partnership with IRC, will implement this initiative across Rohingya camps and host communities in Ukhiya, Teknaf, and Ramu upazilas of Cox’s Bazar District.

Job Purpose: The Field Facilitator will be responsible for the day-to-day field-level implementation of project activities across target locations. S/he will work closely with community members, local leaders, and relevant stakeholders to ensure effective delivery of interventions, with a focus on food security, protection, and resilience-building.

Job Description / Key Responsibilities

Facilitate implementation of project activities in assigned Rohingya camps and host community areas.
Support beneficiary identification, registration, and follow-up for cash assistance, cash-for-work, and agricultural support.
Assist in organizing and delivering training sessions on climate-smart agriculture and nutrition-sensitive practices.
Coordinate cash-for-work activities, including debris clearing, small-scale infrastructure rehabilitation, and water source restoration.
Engage with community groups to raise awareness on GBV, protection services, and available support systems.
Distribute dignity kits and ensure effective communication on their use and benefits.
Ensure meaningful participation of women, youth, and marginalized groups in project activities.
Regularly monitor field activities, collect data, and provide timely reports to the Project Manager.
Collaborate with local authorities, community-based organizations, and other humanitarian actors as needed.
Promote gender equality, green practices, and inclusive development throughout all project components.
