Qualifications and Skills:
Technical Expertise:
- Strong knowledge of AWS and Digital Ocean platforms.
- Proficiency in managing Linux/Unix-based servers.
- Hands-on experience with containerization tools like Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with automation tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or similar.
Programming & Scripting:
- Proficiency in at least one scripting language (e.g., Python, Bash).
- Experience with configuration management tools.
DevOps Tools:
- Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or CircleCI.
- Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git).
Problem-Solving:
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to identify and resolve bottlenecks in systems and workflows.
Collaboration & Communication:
- Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
- Proven experience working closely with Machine Learning and QA Teams.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Responsibilities & Context
Job Responsibilities:
Infrastructure Management:
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable, secure, and reliable infrastructure using Local Servers, AWS, and Digital Ocean.
- Ensure system uptime and optimal performance.
CI/CD Pipeline Development:
- Build and maintain Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to streamline software development workflows.
- Automate build, test, and deployment processes.
Server Management:
- Monitor and manage local and cloud-based servers, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Perform server configuration, patching, and troubleshooting.
Backup & Recovery:
- Establish and maintain robust backup solutions for all software and infrastructure systems.
- Implement disaster recovery plans and conduct periodic testing.
Software Maintenance:
- Ensure timely updates of applications, libraries, and dependencies.
- Work closely with development teams to support the deployment of updates and resolve issues.
Collaboration with Teams:
- Work closely with the Machine Learning Team to ensure efficient deployment and scaling of AI models.
- Collaborate with the QA Team to integrate testing processes into CI/CD pipelines and maintain high software quality standards.
Security & Compliance:
- Implement and enforce security best practices, including firewall configurations, monitoring, and vulnerability assessments.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Monitoring & Optimization:
- Use tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or similar for performance monitoring.
- Continuously identify and resolve system bottlenecks to enhance efficiency.
