• Minimum 2 to 5 years practical proven relevant job experience is must·
• Previous experience of working as a Sports Teacher or coach will be added extra value·
• Must have Strong knowledge of various sports and physical activities·
• Excellent organizational and communication skills is a highly appreciated·
• Should have the Ability to motivate and inspire students·
• Should have the Ability to remain calm in stressful situations

Job Context:

Shishu Polli Plus (a project of The Sreepur Village, Bangladesh) is a humanitarian organization which is located in Sreepur of Gazipur District. We provide support of shelter, education, rehabilitation & livelihood training to the destitute mothers and children which help them to re-settle in their community with better financial and interpersonal skills. We are looking for qualified candidates for the position of Psychical Education and Sports Teacher as per followings:

Job Responsibilities:

• Designing & implementing sports strategies, preparing schedule and running class wise practice sessions
• Developing and implementing sports lessons and physical education programs
• Assessing students’ physical abilities and progress
• Conducting classes in various categories of sports and fitness programmes under school routine
• Organizing and supervising sports events, competitions, and extracurricular activities
• Ensuring the safety and well-being of students during physical activities
• Maintaining accurate records of student performance and attendance
• Collaborating with other teachers to ensure students get a comprehensive education which balances their mental, physical and emotional requirements
• Promoting a healthy and active lifestyle within the SPP campus
• Planning sports events and other physical activity -related assignments for beneficiaries
• Planning lessons that incorporate exercise-based learning strategies according to the curriculum
• Conducting physical education assessments and activities and grading students based on their performance
• Tracking students’ progress in different physical education and sports-related areas
• Helping students set target and achieve physical health and education goals
• Providing adequate sports equipment to ensure all students in the class participate in the physical activities and games
• Helping students learn safe techniques while playing sports and exercising
• Coach the right techniques for playing a specific sport and helping students learn new skills
• Appreciating the efforts of each student for their performance and participation and helping them perform better
• Communicating and collaborating with Child and Mother Care section and beneficiary mothers about students’ progress and performance
• Encouraging students to participate in house and outside school national-level sports events
• Coordinating special events such as extramural and intramural sports activities
• Ensuring strict disciplinary measures while practicing different physical activities
• Assisting in building facilities and infrastructure for sports and fitness programmes for the beneficiaries
• Run swim safe training for beneficiaries
• Conducting proxy classes in the absence of the class teacher on emergency leave and provide extra support to the slow/weak students
• Preparing evaluation notes of individual students and documenting and filing them accordinhly
• Responsible to carry out the academic activities and duties assigned by the management
• Making requisition for study materials/sports materials or other school supply if needed
• Helping other teachers to work with store to ensure that study materials/sports materials or other school supply are in stock
• Arraigning school events/special events/annual school events etc.
• Assisting in preparation of financial proposals for programmes under ongoing sports and fitness curriculum
• Providing all kinds of repots time to time asked by the management
• Organizing and taking part in school events, outings and activities which may take place at weekend or in the evening
• Any other duties assigned by the respective supervisor
