Contract nature: Contractual (for 3 years, renewable subject to performance).
Context:
Society for Assistance to Hearing Impaired Children (SAHIC) is a voluntary non-government organization established in February 1987 and registered with the Department of Social Services, Social Welfare, Directorate General of Social Welfare, and NGO Affairs Bureau Bangladesh, Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, with the aim and objectives of prevention, early detection, and rehabilitation of hearing impaired children, along with treatment of general people’s ear, nose, and throat diseases.
The IT Officer responsible for install, maintenance, and troubleshootIng of all hardware and network systems within Dhaka and Chittagong premises of SAHIC. This includes managing network devices, cabling, software, and peripheral devices. The IT Officer will act as point of contact from all stakeholders to design & implement new ERP in SAHIC. He will be also accountable to conduct regular training and prepare the organization for change management so that they can embrace the change.
Brief description of key responsibilities:
- Responsible to collaborate with user departments to implement the ERP.
- Act as a single point of contact with ERP developer.
- Responsible for User Acceptance Test (UAT), monitor and evaluate system performance, troubleshoot issues as they arise in liaison with ERP developer.
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and security across systems.
- Responsible to conduct training sessions for staff.
- Responsible to Install and maintain computer networks, connections, and cabling.
- Responsible for Troubleshoot network failures, identify bottlenecks, and fix connectivity problems.
- Configure and maintain network hardware, software, and peripheral devices.
- Responsible to provide technical support to users, resolving network-related issues, and offering guidance.
- Perform regular data backups to prevent data loss.
Key Performance Indicators (KPI):
- Mean Time to Repair (MTTR): Indicates how quickly hardware issues are resolved, impacting user productivity and network stability.
- Network Uptime: measuring the percentage of time the network is operational and available
- Network Incident Response Time: Measures how quickly network issues are addressed, impacting user disruption.
- Percentage of reports delivered within the scheduled deadline.
- Percentage of time the ERP is available and operational.
- User Satisfaction Score.
- Number of Reports/Dashboards Developed or Improved.
- No. of data breaches or security incidents reported (aiming for zero).
- No. of training sessions/hours provided to staff on MIS tools and systems.
- Data Quality Score: Assessment based on completeness, consistency, and reliability of data, aiming for high scores (e.g., above 90%).
