Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA), Master of Business Administration (MBA)
  • BBA/ MBA in Accounting or Finance from a reputed university.
  • Partly qualified CA (CC), CMA, or ACCA will be an added advantage.

Responsibilities & Context

Fakir Group, a well-established and vertically integrated garment manufacturer in Bangladesh, is seeking a competent and motivated individual for the role of Officer / Senior Officer – Cost & Budget. This role is pivotal in managing and analyzing cost data, developing budgets, and ensuring financial discipline across the production cycle. The candidate must be experienced in garments cost accounting and budgeting processes, and capable of contributing to strategic decision-making through actionable financial insights.

  • Prepare and monitor monthly, quarterly, and annual budgets in coordination with relevant departments.
  • Conduct detailed cost analysis for garments, including raw materials, trims, and production overhead.
  • Analyze cost variances and provide management with timely reports and recommendations.
  • Collaborate with merchandising, production, procurement, and inventory teams to ensure accurate costing and budgeting.
  • Review Bill of Materials (BOM), Standard Costing, and Consumption Reports for accuracy.
  • Monitor actual expenditures against the budget and report any significant deviations.
  • Assist in preparing cost sheets for new product developments or buyer quotations.
  • Maintain cost accounting records in compliance with internal policies and audit requirements.
  • Support internal and external audit teams with documentation and analysis as required.
  • Contribute to cost-saving initiatives and process improvements.
