Requirements
Education
- Master’s Degree from any recognized university with no 3rd Class/Division at any level.
- MBA major in HRM will be preferred.
- Advanced/professional qualifications or certifications in HRM will be considered an added advantage.
Experience
- At least 15 years
- The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Banks
Additional Requirements
- Age At most 52 years
- Age Limit: Not exceeding 52 years as of 15 September, 2025.
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 15 years of experience in Banking Services out of which minimum 10 years in HR Division
- At least 3 years in the role of Head/Deputy Head of HR.

- Comprehensive knowledge of HR principles, practices, and techniques.
- Strong understanding of country’s employment laws and regulations.
- Expertise in people management, training, and supervision.
- Proficiency in HR systems and databases.

- Excellent interpersonal, communication, facilitation, and conflict resolution skills.
- Solid technology and data management skills.
- Ability to analyze and evaluate complex administrative and technical issues and recommend appropriate actions.
- Strong leadership with proven ability to drive HR strategy and lead teams effectively.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.
- Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
- Demonstrated experience with HR metrics and analytics.
- In-depth knowledge of Labor Law, Contract Act, and HR best practices.
Responsibilities & Context
A Leading Private Commercial Bank is looking for an experienced HR professional to join as Head of Human Resources
Employment Status: Permanent (in the rank of VP/SVP)
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of HR professionals across Partnering, Compensation & Benefits, Diversity, Employment Law, Employee Relations, HR Control & Compliance, Recruitment, Learning & Development, and HR Operations.
- Develop the capability of the HR team both individually and collectively.
- Ensure smooth delivery of annual operational processes such as Performance Management, Talent Management, and Strategic Workforce Planning.
- Provide consultation, guidance, and coaching to business divisions and support functions.
- Ensure consistent interpretation and application of employment policies and practices.
- Drive HR process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Execute HR projects aligned with the Bank’s strategic and tactical agenda.
- Engage with key stakeholders across the Bank and with external partners such as Bangladesh Bank, Commercial Banks, BIBM, ABB, and relevant vendors.
