Experience Requirements: At least 5 year(s) as accountant, finance and admin officer [in development agencies, NGOs, research organizations, training Institutes, etc.]
Readiness to travel extensively throughout the project locations in the north-centre and southwest of the country.
Good language and communication skills (English and Bangla).
Team building and management skills.
Full knowledge of Tally solutions.
Computer skills (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint).

Accountant in a 42-month project on forest, forest communities and climate change.

Job location: Dhaka but will be required to travel throughout the project areas.

Job Description/Responsibility:

Maintain books of accounts (Cash Book, Ledger, Stock Registers, Fixed Asset Registers, etc.) of the project.
Prepare financial reports/statements in accordance with requirements of the donors, NGO Affairs Bureau and SEHD.
Handle all financial dealings of the project with the bank(s).
Supervise maintenance of all assets under the project.
Ensure proper maintenance of all administrative matters of the project.
Face internal and external audits as and when necessary.
Ensure safe storage of office files, stationeries, equipment, productions, etc..
Deal with the NGO Affairs Bureau and other government offices.
