  • Proficient in using production planning software and tools.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • A team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate across departments.

Responsibilities & Context

Mitali Group is a dynamic business leader in Readymade Garments sector in Bangladesh with a remarkable yearly turnover target $100 million. We are part of a dynamic group and operate several strategic business units that collectively employ about 7,000 dedicated worker and professionals. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as an AGM/DGM (Head of Central Production Planning & Control).

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead Central Production Planning & Control (PPC):

  • Lead and manage the Central PPC team to ensure effective production planning, supply chain execution, and on-time delivery as per customer requirements and organizational goals.

2. Production Capacity Analysis & Utilization:

  • Analyze existing and targeted production capacities, generating regular utilization reports for management and the marketing team to inform strategic decisions.
  • Develop and implement capacity estimation strategies to optimize production efficiency and meet order management goals.

3. Strategic Planning for Production Efficiency & Delivery:

  • Make strategic plans to enhance production efficiency, minimize lead times, and ensure on-time delivery.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to set realistic delivery targets and develop forecasts that align with market demand.

4. Shipment Planning & Marketing Forecast:

  • Create comprehensive shipment plans and marketing forecasts, ensuring alignment with the marketing team’s objectives and customer expectations.
  • Prepare shipment schedules and monitor them to ensure timely execution.

5. TNA, Material Planning, & Line Plan Execution:

  • Work closely with the merchandising team to prepare Time and Action (TNA) plans for material procurement and line scheduling.
  • Track orders and ensure execution aligns with production timelines, including timely follow-up on material availability (fabric, trims, accessories).

6. Cross-Department Coordination:

  • Foster effective communication and collaboration between marketing, merchandising, production, and supply chain teams to develop a robust, integrated production plan.

7. Daily Production Workflow Oversight:

  • Oversee the daily production workflow, ensuring the efficient use of resources and identifying potential risks or bottlenecks, with timely interventions to minimize delays.

8. Monitor Production Efficiency & KPI Tracking:

  • Continuously monitor production efficiency, tracking key metrics such as Production Completion Date (PCD), On-time Delivery, Ship Ratio, and Plan Performance Index.
  • Lead the initiative to review and improve planning processes, tools, and reporting systems.

9. Cutting, Sewing & Packing Monitoring:

  • Keenly monitor and evaluate performance in cutting, sewing, and packing stages to ensure achievement of production targets.

10. Manufacturing Waste Reduction:

  • Analyze the causes of manufacturing wastes and losses, proposing and implementing measures to mitigate inefficiencies across all production stages.

11. Schedule Management & Workflow Regulation:

  • Ensure production schedules are regulated, adjusting workflows according to manufacturing sequences and lead times to optimize production output.

12. Team Leadership & Development:

  • Provide leadership and guidance to the PPC team, promoting a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement across all operations.

13. Reporting & Continuous Improvement:

  • Report regularly to senior management on production status, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production performance and exceed delivery expectations.

14. Additional Responsibilities:

  • Take on any additional responsibilities as assigned by senior management, ensuring alignment with the company’s objectives.
  • This role is critical to ensuring the smooth operation of the production pipeline and the achievement of key performance targets. The AGM/DGM will need to display strong leadership, strategic planning capabilities, and exceptional cross-departmental coordination to meet both internal and external demands.
