Responsibilities & Context

The main purpose of this role is to develop and monitor a company’s supply chain strategy, improve productivity and efficiency and reduce costs while securing high quality resources for the company.

• Oversee the procurement of raw materials, fabrics, trims, accessories, packaging, and other key components for garment production, ensuring adherence to quality and specification standards.
• Monitor and control the sourcing budget to ensure cost-efficiency while maintaining high standards of quality across all purchasing activities.
• Run the Sourcing function of the company with diligence to support strategic and financial goals.
• Compare purchase request amounts with the budget, and/or Stock Level Control amounts, to ensure that spending is within approved limits.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with garment-specific suppliers, negotiating favorable terms for the company.
• Ensure that each purchase follows company policy and procedure, and is executed at the best price, without sacrificing quality or service.
• Manage disputes involving invoicing, price & quantity delivered, quality, and other terms, in cooperation with the respective purchase request.
• Active participation and involvement with supplier development projects to increase the new and alternate supplier base.
• Ensure & maintain General Delivery Instructions (GDI).
• Supervise, coach, and mentor supply chain team members.
