Responsibilities & Context
AGM- Facilities Management
Job Responsibilities
1. Operational Oversight:
Supervise daily facility operations: Oversee the maintenance and operational activities to ensure smooth functioning of all systems such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical, Generator, Lift and security.
Vendor and contractor management: Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for maintenance, repair, and renovation projects.
Asset management: Ensure that all equipment and systems are maintained to prolong their lifespan and meet regulatory standards.
2. Budget and Financial Management
Budget preparation: Assist in the creation of the facilities management budget, ensuring that financial resources are allocated effectively.
Cost control: Monitor expenses and identify opportunities to reduce operational costs while maintaining service levels.
Capex planning: Plan and manage capital expenditures for facility upgrades, repairs, and major equipment purchases.
3. Compliance and Risk Management
Ensure regulatory compliance: Ensure the facility complies with all local, state, and federal regulations, including safety, environmental, and building codes.
Health and safety management: Oversee safety programs, including fire safety, emergency preparedness, and occupational health initiatives.
Risk mitigation: Identify potential risks to the facility and implement measures to minimize them, such as regular inspections and audits.
4. Team Leadership and Development
Supervise facilities staff: Manage a team of technicians, custodians, and maintenance personnel, ensuring they are well-trained and performing efficiently.
Staff training: Implement training programs to enhance the skills of the facilities team, especially in areas of safety and compliance.
Performance management: Conduct performance reviews, provide feedback, and set goals for team members.
5. Sustainability Initiatives
Energy management: Implement energy-saving programs and track the facility’s energy usage to reduce costs and environmental impact.
Sustainability planning: Develop and manage sustainability initiatives such as waste reduction, water conservation, and the use of eco-friendly materials.
6. Project Management
Facility upgrades and renovations: Oversee major renovation or construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
Space management: Plan and optimize the use of space within the facility to meet organizational needs.
7. Customer Service and Stakeholder Management
Tenant and stakeholder liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for tenants, building occupants, or internal stakeholders, addressing concerns and feedback.
Service level agreements (SLAs): Manage service contracts and ensure that SLAs with vendors and service providers are met.
8. Technology Integration
Smart building technologies: Integrate advanced technologies such as IoT and building automation systems to improve operational efficiency.
