Responsibilities & Context

The position will manage all land and labor related matters with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Meet the quality system (GQS) requirements related to his/ her job functions.
    • Understanding by quality system: Documentation, work method, and internal and external customer expectations related to a process, product or service.
  • To execute and to make sure the dispositions of Environment, Health & Safety are being complied.
  • Interpret and advise the company regarding all legal matters with expertise in land and labor issue.
  • Provide legal support to the company regarding land measurement, land mutation, land registration, land ownership, land related documents/paper, advise on labor matters including employee issues, disciplinary actions, interpretation of law and all other land related matters.
  • Coordinate pending Civil & Land related cases/suits in various courts.
  • Draft, revise and formalize all kind of documentation that Gildan signs for land and labor matters,
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on potential risk and plan mitigation accordingly to ensurecompliance.
  • Maintain liaison with various Govt. organizations for land and labor matters.
  • Collaborate with all internal and external stakeholders as and when required for the purpose of therole.
  • Remaining updated with the legal requirements and proactively advise the company of any potentialimpact and compliance requirements.
  • Sound knowledge on legal matters to assist the company in any other legal issue.
  • Assist the Director, Legal and Compliance with the day-to-day operational matters.
