Education

  • Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Human Resource Management, Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Human Resource Management

Candidates with PGDHRM will add value

  • IBA, Dhaka University,IBA, Jahangirnagar University,North South University,University of Dhaka,Bangladesh University of Professionals students will get preference

Experience

  • At least 8 years
  • The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s):
    Manufacturing (FMCG), Real Estate, Group of Companies, Developer

Additional Requirements

  • Age at most 50 years
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from any public university or from any well reputed private university, majoring in Human Resource Management.

  • Students of IBA, DU, JU, NSU, BRAC, etc. shall get preferences.

  • Minimum of 8–10 years of experience in HR, with at least 5 years in a managerial role, preferably in a large organization or group of companies.

  • Proficiency in HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

  • In-depth knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices.

  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, along problem-solving abilities.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Proficient in both English and Bangla.

  • High level of integrity and professionalism.

Responsibilities & Context

The AGM/Manager – Human Resources will lead the HR function to drive strategic initiatives that align with the company’s goals. This role involves managing talent acquisition, performance management, employee relations and compliance, fostering a productive work environment that promotes employee engagement and retention. The role requires a proactive HR professional with excellent leadership skills, capable of enhancing organizational culture and driving continuous improvement in HR practices.

Key Responsibilities:

HR Strategy and Planning: 

  • Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the company’s vision and business objectives.

  • Drive initiatives for organizational development, talent management and succession planning.

  • Collaborate with the management team to forecast and plan workforce needs in line with company goals.

Talent Acquisition and Workforce Planning:

  • Oversee the recruitment process to ensure efficient and timely hiring of qualified candidates.

  • Implement recruitment strategies to attract top talent and strengthen employer branding.

  • Work closely with departments to understand staffing needs and ensure alignment with HR policies.

Performance Management: 

  • Lead the performance appraisal process and provide guidance to managers on effective performance management practices.

  • Design and implement training and development programs to enhance employee skills and performance.

  • Develop KPIs and set measurable goals for individual and team performance to drive productivity. 

Employee Relations and Engagement: 

  • Promote a positive work culture and handle employee grievances in a fair and consistent manner.

  • Develop and implement employee engagement programs to foster motivation and satisfaction.

  • Oversee initiatives to improve employee well-being and create a conducive work environment. 

Compensation and Benefits: 

  • Ensure competitive compensation structures by conducting market research and benchmarking.

  • Manage employee benefits programs to meet the needs of the workforce and comply with legal requirements.

  • Oversee payroll processing and ensure timely, accurate distribution of salaries.

Compliance and Legal Affairs: 

  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, employment regulations and company policies.

  • Manage disciplinary actions and advise on best practices to mitigate legal risks.

  • Maintain accurate HR records and ensure confidentiality of employee information.

HR Metrics & Reporting:

  • Track key HR metrics (e.g., turnover, recruitment KPIs, employee satisfaction) to assess the effectiveness of HR initiatives.

  • Prepare regular HR reports and analytics for senior management.

  • Use data insights to identify trends, predict future HR needs and inform decision-making.
