Responsibilities & Context

• Supervise and manage the entire production process, from raw material input to finished product output.
• Ensure that production schedules are met and that products are manufactured within the defined quality standards.
• Monitor and optimize production efficiency, focusing on reducing waste and improving productivity.
• Team Leadership:
• Lead, train, and mentor production supervisors and line managers to ensure a motivated and skilled workforce.
• Foster a culture of teamwork, continuous improvement, and accountability among production staff.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members.
• Quality Assurance:
• Collaborate with the quality control department to ensure that all products meet or exceed customer expectations and industry standards.
• Implement and monitor quality control processes and procedures on the production floor.
• Address and resolve any quality issues that arise during production.
• Resource Management:
• Plan and allocate resources effectively, including manpower, machinery, and materials, to ensure efficient production operations.
• Work closely with the procurement team to ensure the timely availability of raw materials and supplies.
• Ensure proper maintenance of production equipment to minimize downtime.
• Process Improvement:
• Identify areas for improvement within the production process and implement strategies to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product quality.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies in blazer manufacturing.
• Lead and participate in continuous improvement initiatives and projects.
• Health & Safety:
• Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations on the production floor.
• Promote a safe working environment by conducting regular safety audits and training sessions for production staff.
• Address and resolve any safety concerns promptly.
• Reporting & Analysis:
• Prepare and present regular reports on production performance, including output, quality, efficiency, and costs.
• Analyze production data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement.
• Provide insights and recommendations to senior management based on production analysis.
• Coordination & Communication:
• Act as a key liaison between the production department and other departments such as quality control, maintenance, HR, and procurement.
• Communicate effectively with the General Manager and other senior management regarding production status, challenges, and achievements.
