Education

• A Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture or a related field is required.

Experience

• At least 2 years
• The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s):
  Agro based firms (incl. Agro Processing/Seed/GM), Animal/Plant Breeding, Agro based Startup
• Freshers are also encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities & Context

We are embarking on an exciting venture to establish a commercial grape farming operation on our estate, encompassing an expansive area of approximately 200 decimals. Our project aims to cultivate a diverse agricultural environment, including the management of poultry such as chickens, ducks, and pigeons, alongside grapevine cultivation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Project Planning and Execution:
• Develop a comprehensive project plan, encompassing the various elements of the grape and poultry farm.
• Oversee the design and layout of the farm, ensuring optimal space utilization and productivity.
• Coordinate the procurement and planting of 500 grapevines intended for fruit production and 200 grapevines for grafting purposes.
• Poultry Management:
• Assist in setting up suitable environments for the rearing of 300-500 chickens, 300-500 ducks, and 200-300 pigeons.
• Establish feeding, breeding, and health management protocols to maximize poultry productivity.
• Operational Oversight:
• Implement daily operational activities and ensure adherence to agricultural best practices.
• Set up and maintain schedules for planting, harvesting, animal care, and facility maintenance.
• Monitor the progress of the farm operations and make necessary adjustments to improve efficiency and outcomes.
• Resource Management:
• Effectively manage resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to optimize farm output and sustainability.
• Develop and maintain financial oversight, managing budgets, expenses, and financial reports.
• House Management:
• As housing is provided, ensure the maintenance and functioning of accommodations for optimal living and operating conditions.
