Advanced Technical Expertise

AI/ML Mastery:

Responsibilities & Context

Job Summary: We are seeking an AI Lead to spearhead the development, deployment, and optimization of artificial intelligence models for healthcare applications. Starting with diabetic retinopathy detection, the role will expand to include projects targeting glaucoma, cataracts, and other ophthalmic conditions.

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled AI engineer with expertise in deep learning, image processing, and backend server management to lead transformative projects at the intersection of technology and healthcare.

Key Responsibilities:

AI Model Development:

Design, train, and optimize AI models for:

• Medical image analysis (e.g., retinal images, OCT scans).
• Multi-condition detection, starting with diabetic retinopathy.
• Build robust preprocessing pipelines for medical image formats like DICOM, JPEG, and TIFF.
• Develop scalable models capable of real-time and batch analysis.

Backend Server Management:

• Deploy AI models as secure software solutions on onsite servers.
• Manage server infrastructure using tools like AWS for Healthcare, Laravel, and HSCN.
• Optimize backend systems for high-volume data processing.

Integration and Deployment:

• Integrate AI models with imaging systems (e.g., Topcon OCT, portable fundus cameras) and hospital workflows.
• Develop APIs or middleware to link AI outputs with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
• Ensure scalability for multi-site deployments.

Support and Maintenance:

• Provide continuous updates, troubleshooting, and refinements to deployed models.
• Adapt AI models for future applications in healthcare, such as glaucoma and cataract detection.
• Collaborate with clinical and IT teams to align solutions with real-world needs.
