Experience:- 10–12 years of relevant experience in the jute manufacturing industry.
Must have practical experience in purchasing raw jute and managing jute assortment for a jute mill.
Practical and up-to-date knowledge of the raw jute market and price trends.
Strong knowledge of raw jute grades, quality, and assortment.
Good communication, negotiation, coordination, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to maintain strong relationships with raw jute suppliers and market sources.
Responsibilities & Context
Key Responsibilities
Purchase raw jute according to the Manufacturing Order (MO) and production requirements.
Plan and implement an effective raw jute purchasing program.
Monitor and analyze raw jute market trends, prices, availability, and quality.
Identify reliable suppliers and negotiate competitive prices and purchasing terms.
Ensure timely procurement of the required quantity and quality of raw jute.
Prepare daily raw jute assortment reports and monthly jute accounts.
Coordinate with production, warehouse, accounts, and management regarding raw jute procurement and stock requirements.
Maintain proper records of purchases, suppliers, prices, quality, and assortment.
Perform any other duties and responsibilities assigned by the General Manager from time to time.
Preferred Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate should have strong practical experience in raw jute procurement, a good understanding of different jute qualities and assortments, and an established knowledge of the current raw jute market. He should be capable of making timely purchasing decisions based on market conditions and mill requirements.
