Responsibilities & Context
The work would be solely/ primarily in the not-for-profit sector/ development sector, hence, the candidate should have experience in diverse engagements in this sector. The person would be required to lead the team and carry out assignments independently. He/she would also be required to carry out business development activities such as identifying business opportunities and working on proposals.
The major work shall include but not be limited to:
Audits- including internal audits and special purpose audits Capacity Assessments – Assessment in the areas of financial management including budgeting system, fund flow mechanism, cash management, fixed assets, accounting procedures, value for money, auditing mechanism etc.
Financial management reviews Expenditure verification at grant recipient organizations.
Review adequacy of financial management systems at grant recipient organizations Review of procurement processes and transactions to ensure compliance with procurement guidelines
Supervise and review the work of the other team members
