Responsibilities & Context

Job Context:

The Christian Commission for Development in Bangladesh (CCDB) is a leading non-governmental organization dedicated to fostering a just and caring society since 1973. CCDB is currently seeking a Area Manager for Resettlement Unit.

The involuntary Resettlement program is an integral aspect of CCDB’s development activities, addressing economic and physical displacement caused by infrastructure projects. Recognizing the potential challenges and long-term consequences of involuntary resettlement, CCDB emphasizes proper planning and management to mitigate hardships for affected individuals and prevent environmental damage in resettlement locations.

Job Responsibilities:

• Conducting baseline Socio-economic survey
• Conducting market Survey
• Formation of Focus groups
• Conducting Joint Verification Survey
• Information Campaign and Dissemination to Project Affected Persons
• Identification of Vulnerable Project Affected Households
• Assisting APs to collect compensation from DC office
• Assisting EPs for relocation;
• Preparation of EP’s ID Card
• Assist EPs for filing application to the GRC for resolving grievances.
• Office maintenance and Monitoring.
• Prepare monthly progress report.
• Collect different kinds project related document from GO and autonomous institute.
• Ensure logical support to staffs.
• Field visits
• Drawing social map.
• Drafting meeting minutes and letters.
• To meet with social leader, UP chairman and community members.
• Providing information to the affected persons about resettlement facilities.
• Communication with the superior for professional feedback.
• Providing updated information of project on a regular basis to superior authority.
