Responsibilities & Context
The Summary:
The Area Manager, Retail Channel will oversee multiple territories and supervise 4-5 Territory Managers to ensure efficient retail operations, meet sales targets, and drive profitability. This role demands strong leadership, operational oversight, and strategic planning to enhance the overall performance and growth of the retail sales network.
Job Description:

Develop and implement area-level sales strategies to ensure alignment with overall company goals and targets.

Provide strong leadership and mentorship to Territory/ District Managers, fostering a culture of performance and continuous improvement.

Guide and support Territory/ District Managers in meeting their sales targets, ensuring operational excellence, and optimizing retail processes.

Monitor sales performance across assigned area, review performance reports, and collaborate with Territory/ District Managers to devise corrective measures where necessary.

Identify new market opportunities, drive local market penetration, and increase brand presence across the assigned area.

Ensure that operational standards in inventory management, credit management, customer service, and merchandising are consistently upheld in all Shops under supervision.

Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, conducting regular audits to maintain operational efficiency.

Oversee area-level budgeting and expense management, ensuring Shops operate within their financial constraints.

Review and approve expense reports from Territory/ District Managers and take necessary action to optimize cost efficiency.

Build and maintain strong relationships with key external stakeholders, such as local vendors, community leaders, and authorities, to support retail expansion and operations.

Represent the company at the area level, maintaining positive community and customer relations.

Conduct market analysis and competitor benchmarking to inform strategic decisions at both the area and Territory/ District levels.
