Assistant-Breeder

Position Summary:

Partex Agro Ltd. Is looking for a sincere and dedicated Breeder Assistant to support the Plant Breeder in seed research, field trials, and breeding operations. The position involves fieldwork, data collection, and technical assistance in various breeding and research activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Plant Breeder in planning and executing breeding trials and experiments.
• Prepare and maintain nursery, greenhouse, and field plots.
• Perform hand pollination, seed harvesting, drying, cleaning, and labeling.
• Collect and record data on plant performance, yield, and disease tolerance.
• Maintain accurate breeding records and assist in report preparation.
• Design, plan, and implement breeding programs for target crops.
• Manage germplasm collection, maintenance, and characterization
• Record and analyze data related to yield, traits, and adaptability.
• Prepare technical reports, breeding summaries, and data analyses.
• Stay updated on modern breeding techniques, including molecular tools and statistical software.
• Strong knowledge of breeding principles, genetic diversity, and varietal improvement.
• Ability to work in field environments and manage multiple trials.

Educational Qualification:

Diploma or B.Sc. in Agriculture, Genetics, or Seed Technology.

Experience:

1–2 years of experience in plant breeding, seed research, or field trial activities will be preferred.
