We are seeking a talented Assistant Manager for our Fashion Design Team to oversee the creative and technical aspects of knitwear design within our fashion department. You will lead a team of designers, ensuring the creation of innovative, high-quality knitwear collections that align with our brand’s aesthetic and current market trends. This role requires a combination of creative vision, technical expertise, and leadership skills to drive the team’s success and contribute to the brand’s growth at J.M. Fabrics Limited at Rajendrapur, Gazipur and who meets the following Criteria:

Responsibilities:

  • Development of new designs from idea generation to final product.
  • Working in illustrator, Photoshop or any other fashion design software to develop the sketches, embroideries, prints & accessories
  • Understanding the buyers mood boards, seasonal color trend, material trend & different fabric qualities.
  • Analysis of fashion culture in EU/USA/Asian market & develop same styles to have broad inventory of fashions.
  • Creating sketch, visualizing in 3D, giving physical appearance (CLO3D, Adobe applications, MS Applications).
  • Analyze seasonal trends in fabrics, colors, and shapes.
  • Understand design from a technical perspective and create technical specifications for designs.
  • Follow up with the PDC/CAD/pattern team for making patterns.
  • Source fabrics, trims, and accessories with team.
  • Collaborate with fabric and production merchandisers to create a fruitful seasonal collection.
  • Develop sample garments and oversee their creation, including fitting, detailing, and adaptation.
  • Follow up on patterns, samples, washes, prints, and embroidery, Develop new wash panel and experiment with different washes.
  • Create tech packs and hand them over to the merchandisers.
  • Work on photo-shoot concepts.
  • Design & develop knit fabrics for buyers.
