Responsibilities & Context

Role Overview:

The Deputy Manager/Manager Payroll will be responsible for carrying out all aspects of the payroll function. This includes ensuring timely and accurate payroll processing, compliance with relevant regulations, and continuous improvement of payroll systems and processes. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a keen attention to detail, and a thorough understanding of payroll procedures, salary taxation and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute end-to-end payroll processing for all employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Ensure compliance with country and payroll tax laws and regulations.
  • Help in developing and implement payroll policies and procedures to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
  • Maintain and update payroll records, including deductions, benefits, taxes, and other withholdings.
  • Address and resolve payroll-related inquiries and discrepancies in a timely and professional manner.
  • Coordinate with HR and Finance departments to ensure seamless integration of payroll data with other systems.
  • Prepare and analyze payroll reports, providing insights and recommendations to senior management.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and changes in payroll regulations, ensuring the company’s payroll practices remain compliant and competitive.
  • Face payroll audits and collaborate with external auditors as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in payroll management, with a proven track record of success in a similar role.
  • In-depth knowledge of payroll laws, taxation, regulations, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in payroll software and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Leadership experience with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Professional certifications is preferred.
