Responsibilities & Context

Meghna Group of Industries (MGI) is one of the largest conglomerates in Bangladesh. Meghna PVC Ltd., a sister concern of the Meghna Group of Industries, is currently the pioneer and leading PVC & PET resin manufacturer in Bangladesh. We are actively seeking proactive and dynamic individuals for the role of Assistant Engineer/DCS Engineer, PVC/PET/Ethylene/Chemical Plant. This position will be responsible for handling day-to-day operations of Distributed Control System (DCS) technology and will report to the Plant Head.

Initiate and shut down the chemical process using Distributed Control System (DCS) technology.
Operate, control & maintain the operational activities to produce quality products as well as maintain the safety aspects of various chemicals.
Follow up on any plant abnormalities through teamwork.
Drive improvement in your responsible area of the unit.
Monitor all process parameters, finding operational problems & troubleshooting during plant operation.
Support the production team to solve problems and improve departmental/operational measures.
Check the log sheet, operator log book, and normal /abnormal parameters.
Prepare and maintain proper documentation for all chemicals in the PVC Plant.
Coordinate production activities by integrating manufacturing technology, ensuring product quality, and complying with consumer regulations.
Support laboratory testing by conducting in-depth analysis of chemical experimental data using analytical and statistical methods, drawing conclusions, and planning subsequent experiments.
Design and conduct tests, analyses, and evaluations on material samples submitted by customers or field representatives for projects.
Prepare different types of reports by using tools like Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and submit it to supervisor.
