Responsibilities & Context

Flock Management & Scheduling

• Overseeing daily operations to ensure optimal egg, feed, and fertilizer production.
• Coordinating production schedules across farms to maximize profits and improve workflows.

  Nutrition Program Management

• Collaborating with nutritionists to formulate proper hen diets.
• Coordinating with feed mills to ensure the timely delivery of required feed.

  Vaccination & Flock Health

• Ensuring the timely and effective vaccination of hens.
• Selecting optimal hen strains for health and productivity.
• Overseeing flock replacements to maintain production capacity.

  Consultation and Decision-Making

• Collaborating with professional consultants (e.g., nutritionists, benchmarking specialists) for strategic decisions.
• Utilizing expert advice to refine and improve management practices and operations.

  Keeping Up with Best Practices

• Staying current with industry best practices related to poultry management, animal health, nutrition, egg production, and fertilizer production.

  Performance Monitoring & Adjustments

• Monitoring animal production data and implementing necessary changes to meet production targets.

  Leadership & Teamwork

• Leading by example and fostering a team-oriented environment.
• Playing a pivotal role in farm management and contributing to the leadership team.

  Goal Setting & Strategic Planning

• Setting both short-term and long-term goals for the farm’s success.
• Assisting in the development of plans to enhance profitability.

• Managing and analyzing flock records, schedules (e.g., replacement, vaccination, lighting), and farm performance data.

  Waste Management & Environmental Considerations

• Overseeing waste management strategies to ensure sustainability.
