Job Context
We are a 100% export-oriented, renowned Woven Jackets/outerwear manufacturer looking for a dynamic, energetic, and analytic candidate for the post of ” Assistant General Manager—HR, Admin & Compliance“. The incumbent must have experience and ability to take over the factory HR department and drive to deliver high-quality results.
Job Responsibilities
Human Resource Implementation and Services:
Execute and monitor the company’s HR plans and policies in the factory, ensuring the provision of comprehensive and professional HR services.
Design, plan, and implement recruitment and selection programs aligned with company policies and procedures.
Compliance with Safety and Labor Laws:
Foster a culture of safety by ensuring adherence to Bangladesh Labor Laws, the Buyer’s Code of Conduct, Labor Law 2006, and Labor Rules.
Ensure the factory remains compliant and prepared for external audits by maintaining operational standards and offering active cooperation to external auditors or buyer representatives during audits or visits.
Uphold safety and security standards across the factory, including building safety, electrical safety, fire safety, chemical safety, and machine safety.
Implement compliance measures in daily factory operations, including fire safety protocols, potable water availability, sanitation, cleanliness, and proper emergency exits in line with labor laws and buyer recommendations.
Audit Preparedness and Corrective Actions:
Ensure compliance with buyer standards and implement corrective action plans (CAPs) as needed.
Prepare and maintain documents required for audits such as BSCI, SEDEX, and C-TPAT, ensuring factory readiness to meet buyer Code of Conduct (COC) requirements.
Keep all files and documentation updated to facilitate social compliance, technical audits, and customer visits at any time.
Possess hands-on experience in audits by certification bodies such as Accord, WRAP, BSCI, SEDEX, OCS, GRS, and PEFC, as well as compliance with various buyer COCs and standards.
Training and Development:
Conduct training sessions on workplace hazards, risks, general awareness, the buyer Code of Conduct, health and hygiene, occupational safety, and first aid.
Develop and deliver training programs aligned with organizational goals to improve talent management and succession planning.
Employee Relations and Communication:
Improve employee relations and communication within the factory by addressing grievances and facilitating resolution mechanisms.
Manage organizational grievance systems and disciplinary proceedings efficiently.
Compensation, Benefits, and Payroll Management:
Develop and update the factory’s compensation and benefits structure in compliance with labor laws and company policies.
Implement effective leave management systems.
Oversee KPI-based performance management procedures, including assessments and feedback.
Manage the payroll process, ensuring timely and accurate salary disbursements, maternity benefits, insurance claims, and other employee benefits as per labor law requirements.
