  • Master’s Degree in business management( hotel management) or hospitality management or development communication (in case of more experience bachelor degree on the same will be acceptable).
  • At least 7 (Seven) years of working experience in a business-oriented training center/ hotel/ resort/ corporate sector as Managerial work.
  • Language fluency in English and Bangla.
  • Short course training on Management and leadership will be preferable.
  • Practice of mission, vision and values of the organization through culture, work environment and activates.
  • Community awareness on different social issues through meetings, rallies, gatherings, etc.
  • Empowering the staff members by imparting on-the-job training for better skills and capacity.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ensure Human Rights for concerned people.
  • Gender sensitive.
  • Physical Requirements: Mentally sound, good health, intelligent, smart, dynamic, young, energetic, working ability in all situations and environments.

Responsibilities & Context

Brief introduction of HOPE Foundation:

CCDB HOPE Foundation is a sister organization of CCDB which is governed by a five members Board of Trustee Member since its inception 01 July 2007. The primary goal of the foundation is to cater to the human resources development needs of the development organizations both in the public and private sectors including NGOs in Bangladesh through providing with all kinds of modern training and residential facilities in its large green complex at Baroipara, Savar, Dhaka.

Responsibilities of the Position and Duties Performed:

Functions/Responsibilities (General):

  • The Assistant Manager is to oversee and manage the HOPE Foundation training center to operate all activities or programs.
  • The Assistant Manager will be able to understand and identify the organizational priority and follow the Mission, Vision and Values of the organization.
  • He/ She will assist with the efficient and effective operation of the general and special programs.
  • He/ She will develop and implement the plan for improvement of special services as per modern demands.
  • He/ She will take the initiative to face uncertain problems and make decisions to the office staff through participatory support as a team leader.
  • Arrange a quarterly staff meeting for identified problems and to receive their advice to gear-up their efficiencies.
  • To prepare annual budget and recommend all types of vouchers, bills, accounts, increment including necessary controls as per different manuals/office orders.
  • The Assistant Manager shall do staff appraising at the end of each year for giving yearly increment and other facilities including disciplinary actions as required.
  • Perform any other responsibilities as demand necessary for the Center.
  • Oversee the campus maintenance and beautification.
  • Etc.

    Functions /Responsibilities (Specific):

  • His/ Her main responsibility is to maintain internal and external correspondence with different individuals, institutions and organizations for smooth operation of HOPE Foundation training center.
  • He/ She will assess and organize capacity building and skill development training/workshops for staff development.
  • To set out and review the Personal Manual, Financial and Accounts Manual and Operational Manual and other such rules and regulations of the HOPE Foundation training center.
  • Assistant Manager shall manage and oversee all matters relating to institutional, operational, administration, personnel, finance control, vehicle, land and other assets inventory of the center.
  • Ensure timely preparation and submission of different reports, drafts and statements.
  • Create and promote potential markets to utilize the training center.
  • Any other responsibilities advised by the Manager.
