Additional Requirements

  • Age 30 to 45 years
  • Licensed to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction will be preferable
  • At least 5 to 7 years of experience in corporate law, with a focus on land, mergers and acquisitions, securities offerings, and corporate governance
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

Responsibilities & Context

  • Provide legal advice and guidance to the company’s management team on corporate law matters, including mergers and acquisitions, securities offerings, regulatory compliance, and corporate governance.
  • Good knowledge of land measurement, land registration, land ownership, land-related papers/documents, and selling/buying procedures as per Bangladesh government rules & regulations.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of corporate agreements, including shareholder agreements, joint venture agreements, employment agreements, and commercial contracts.
  • Ensure that the company’s operations comply with all relevant laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with other legal professionals and departments to develop and implement policies and procedures that ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Manage external legal counsel and ensure that they provide the company with high-quality legal advice and representation.
  • Represent the company in negotiations with third parties, including government agencies, customers, suppliers, and business partners.
  • Stay up to date with changes in relevant laws and regulations and advise the company on any necessary changes to policies and procedures.
