Responsibilities & Context
Strategic Sales Planning:
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets and expand market share in the freight forwarding industry.
- Lead Generation and Qualification:
- Identify and qualify leads, prospects, and potential business opportunities through effective market research, networking, and relationship building.
- Also push agent to send leads as it’s a push-pull strategy.
- Client Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and providing customized solutions to meet their freight forwarding requirements.
Agent Development:
- Developing agent worldwide through networking, communication and attending in various agent conferences.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate with internal teams including operations, customer service, CHB and Finance to ensure seamless execution and delivery of services to clients.
- Proposal Preparation and Negotiation:
- Prepare and present sales proposals, quotations, and contracts to prospective clients, negotiating terms and closing deals on daily basis based on customer requirement.
- Market Monitoring and Adaptation:
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify emerging opportunities and threats, adjusting sales strategies accordingly.
- Developing team in a way to have all updated information from market.
Reporting and Analysis:
- Provide regular sales reports, forecasts, and updates to management, highlighting performance metrics and areas for improvement.
- Team Leadership and Development through Training:
- Coach, mentor, and motivate sales team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning, collaboration, and accountability. Make weekly team meeting, sales visit with team to make them stronger day by day.
- DSO:
- Maintain healthy payment flow from customer and maintain a multilevel relationship with customer to complete the process. also keep in touch with our account dept. on regular basis.
Achievement of Targets:
- Consistently meet or exceed sales targets by following above all points to drive revenue growth and contribute to the overall success and profitability of the freight forwarding division.
