  • Problem-solving ability in fleet maintenance and workshop management.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, ERP software, and procurement management tools.

Responsibilities & Context

Procurement & Sourcing:

  • Identify and source reliable suppliers for light and heavy vehicle spare parts, lubricants, tires, and mechanical components.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and warranty terms with vendors to optimize cost-effectiveness.
  • Ensure timely procurement of spare parts to minimize vehicle and machinery downtime.
  • Evaluate supplier performance based on quality, cost, and delivery timelines.
  • Manage vendor relationships and develop alternative supplier options to reduce risk.
  • Collaborate with store & inventory and maintenance department to ensure proper storage and handling of mechanical parts.

Workshop Coordination & Support (in-house & 3rd Party):

  • Work closely with the workshop team to understand maintenance needs and ensure the availability of necessary spare parts.
  • Assist in planning and scheduling both preventive and corrective maintenance for vehicles and equipment, whether handled in-house or by third-party workshops.
  • Coordinate with mechanics and engineers to diagnose mechanical failures and procure the necessary parts, ensuring seamless repairs in both in-house and third-party workshops.

Technical & Quality Compliance:

  • Ensure that purchased mechanical parts meet OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) specifications and workshop requirements.
  • Work closely with the maintenance and engineering teams to understand technical specifications and procurement needs.
  • Inspect received goods and coordinate with suppliers for any quality issues or returns.

Cost Control & Budgeting:

  • Analyze repair and maintenance costs to identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Develop and manage annual purchase budgets for workshop operations.
  • Work with the finance team to ensure cost-efficient procurement planning.

Documentation & Compliance:

  • Maintain proper documentation for all purchases, including purchase orders, vendor agreements, and invoices.
  • Generate reports on vehicle maintenance, spare parts consumption, and procurement trends.
  • Assist in audits related to workshop and procurement operations
