• JNCIA, Cisco CCNA, Mikrotik, MTCNA

Technical Skill Requirements

Juniper Routers (Junos OS)

• Advanced knowledge of BGP, route filtering, policy statements.
• Strong understanding of routing protocols and prefix management.
• Experience with VLANs, sub-interfaces, CoS, and traffic policers.
• Troubleshooting using Junos CLI and diagnostic tools.

MikroTik Routers (RouterOS)

• Deep expertise in BGP configuration, route filtering, and manipulating BGP attributes (AS Path, Local Preference, MED, etc.).
• Experience in implementing NAT, static/dynamic routing, queues (Simple/PCQ/HTB), and firewall rules.
• Scripting for automation and monitoring tasks.

OLT and FTTH Technologies

• Proficiency in managing OLTs from multiple vendors (Huawei MA5600T series, VSOL, C-Data, BDCOM).
• ONT provisioning, VLAN tagging, PPPoE/PPTP/L2TP session management.
• Troubleshooting optical issues (LOS, LOF, optical power issues).
• Understanding of multicast, loop detection, rouge ont detect, DHCP relay, and IGMP snooping on OLTs.

Other Requirements

• Strong knowledge of IP subnetting, ARP, ICMP, DNS, and DHCP.
• Hands-on experience with traffic analysis tools (Wireshark, NetFlow, etc.).
• Familiarity with NMS/OSS platforms and network monitoring tools (Zabbix, Cacti, The Dude, LibreNMS, etc.).
• Ability to work in shifts, including on-call rotations during critical outages.
• Capable of writing and maintaining technical documentation and network diagrams.

Soft Skills

• Proven leadership and mentoring skills for junior NOC staff.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication skills for coordination with upstream/downstream providers.
• Ability to perform under pressure in 24/7 operational environments.
• Good understanding on multiple operating system like Windows-7,10,11, MacOS, Android OS & Linux.

Responsibilities & Context

Core Responsibilities

• Monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain network infrastructure to ensure high availability and optimal performance.
• Provide advanced support for escalated network issues from Level 1/2 engineers.
• Configure, manage, and troubleshoot BGP sessions with upstream and downstream providers.
• Handle prefix announcements and filtering to maintain accurate and secure routing.
• Implement and manage VLANs, routing policies, and traffic policing across the network.
• Maintain and optimize performance of OLTs across multiple vendors (Huawei, VSOL, C-Data, BDCOM, etc.).
• Support and maintain customer provisioning and service delivery via GPON/EPON.
• Handle POP with patience and provide them technical support and ensure smooth service.
• Participate in capacity planning, network upgrades, and documentation efforts.
