Requirements

Education

• Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm)

• Education: Bachelor of Pharmacy (B. Pharm) is mandatory. Master of Pharmacy (M. Pharm) preferred.

Experience

• At least 3 years

Additional Requirements

• Age 21 to 30 years

• Candidate must be a non-smoker.
• Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of experience in hospital pharmacy, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory or assistant managerial role.
• License: Must hold valid registration from the Pharmacy Council of Bangladesh (PCB).

Responsibilities & Context

• Supervise day-to-day operations of the in-door pharmacy to ensure timely and accurate dispensing of medicines.
• Ensure all prescriptions are reviewed, verified, and dispensed in accordance with hospital protocols.
• Maintain availability of essential and emergency drugs at all times.
• Monitor and manage stock levels, prevent stock-outs or overstocking, and coordinate timely reordering.
• Ensure proper storage conditions for pharmaceuticals, including temperature-sensitive items.
• Oversee regular stock audits and manage expiry/near-expiry tracking and disposal.
• Supervise, train, and motivate pharmacy staff to ensure high-quality service delivery.
• Coordinate staff scheduling and ensure adequate coverage during shifts.
• Support professional development and performance appraisal of team members.
• Ensure strict compliance with regulatory guidelines (DGDA, BSTI, hospital SOPs).
• Maintain accurate records of controlled drugs, prescription logs, and pharmacy reports.
• Facilitate internal and external audits as required.
• Work in close collaboration with doctors, nurses, and other departments for patient-centered pharmacy support.
• Handle queries and concerns related to medication availability and usage.
• Participate in clinical meetings and contribute to medication safety initiatives.
