Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor`s Degree in Engineering, Leather Engineering, Footwear Technology, Industrial Engineering, or related field.

Experience

    • 5 to 6 years
  • The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Tannery/Footwear

Additional Requirements

Experience

  • 5–6 years of experience in footwear product development.
  • Experience in sample room operations, pattern engineering, or technical development preferred.

Skills Required

  • Footwear construction and manufacturing knowledge
  • Computer Skill & CAD/CAM (ICAD 3D+, Shoe master).
  • Pattern engineering and grading knowledge
  • Material and tooling knowledge
  • Microsoft Office and presentation skills
  • Communication and teamwork
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills

Responsibilities & Context

  • Department: Product Development (PD)

Job Purpose:

  • To support and coordinate footwear product development activities, ensuring timely sample development, technical accuracy, and smooth communication among internal teams and customers.

Key Responsibilities:

Development Coordination

  • Manage assigned development projects from sample request to commercialization.
  • Prepare and track development timelines and action plans.
  • Coordinate with merchandising, engineering, sample room, and production teams.

Technical Support

  • Review tech packs and customer requirements.
  • Prepare technical specifications and development instructions.
  • Follow up on pattern engineering, grading, tooling, and mold requirements.
  • Support troubleshooting during sample development.

Sample Management

  • Monitor and complete daily sample progress and ensure on-time completion.
  • Verify sample quality before submission.
  • Ensure proper documentation of development records and approvals.

Costing Support

  • Assist in preliminary costing and material consumption calculations.
  • Support cost reduction initiatives during development.

Customer Communication

  • Participate in customer meetings and technical discussions.
  • Prepare development status reports and presentations.

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify process bottlenecks and recommend improvements.
  • Support implementation of development SOPs and best practices.
