Job Summary/ Context:
As an Assistant Manager of seed potato sales & marketing, your role would drive the business’s growth and expansion through strategic planning and partnerships. Also, your job will lead to developing strategic partnerships and staying ahead of industry trends to maximize the company’s success in the potato market.

Key Assignments/ Duties:
- Market Research: Conducting market research to identify potential opportunities, trends, and consumer preferences related to potatoes. This includes analyzing competitors, consumer behavior, and industry dynamics.
* Key performance Indicator (KPI): Accuracy rate of market research predictions.
- Partnerships and Networking: Building relationships with key stakeholders in the potato industry, such as farmers, suppliers, distributors, and retailers. Collaborating with these partners to explore mutually beneficial opportunities and expand the company’s reach.
* Key performance Indicator (KPI): Satisfaction rate of partners and stakeholders.
- Sales and Revenue Generation: Developing sales strategies to increase market share and revenue. This may involve identifying new sales channels, creating promotional campaigns, and negotiating contracts with customers.
* Key performance Indicator (KPI) (Target 100%): Customer satisfaction score (CSAT) for new potato products.
- Product Development: Collaborating with the product team to identify opportunities for new potato products or variations. Conducting market research to understand customer preferences and working with the team to develop and launch innovative potato products as well as marketing.
* Key performance Indicator (KPI): Defect rate in new potato products.
- Marketing and Branding: Working closely with the marketing team to develop and implement marketing campaigns, advertising strategies, and brand positioning for potato-related products. This includes leveraging digital platforms, social media, and traditional marketing channels.
* Key performance Indicator (KPI): Return on investment (ROI) for marketing campaigns.
- Industry Knowledge: Staying up-to-date with the latest trends, technologies, and regulations in the potato industry. Sharing insights and recommendations with the management team to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge.
* Key performance Indicator (KPI): Number of innovative insights or recommendations implemented based on industry trends and knowledge.
- Team Leadership: Managing a team of business development professionals and providing guidance, coaching, and support. Setting clear objectives, monitoring performance, and fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
- Reporting and Presentation: Preparing regular reports and presentations to share updates on business development activities, market trends, and financial performance. Presenting findings and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders.
- Any other task and responsibility as per management requirement.
