- Proven experience in supply chain management, preferably in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of supply chain processes, logistics, and inventory management.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in supply chain software and tools (e.g., SAP).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Leadership and team management experience.
Responsibilities & Context
- Responsible for overseeing and optimizing the supply chain operations from procurement to delivery.
- This role involves strategic planning, coordination with various departments, and managing logistics to ensure that products are delivered on time and within budget.
- Develop and implement supply chain strategies in alignment with the company’s objectives.
- Forecast demand and manage inventory levels to prevent shortages or excesses.
- Source and negotiate with suppliers to obtain the best quality and prices.
- Establish and maintain relationships with key suppliers and vendors.
- Monitor supplier performance and resolve any issues or discrepancies.
- Oversee the logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution.
- Ensure timely and accurate delivery of products to customers.
- Implement and manage logistics software and systems for efficient operations (if needed).
- Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure optimal stock levels.
- Conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies. – Develop inventory control procedures and policies.
- Ensure that all products meet the company’s quality standards.
- Work with the quality assurance team to address any quality issues.
- Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities throughout the supply chain.
- Prepare and manage the supply chain budget.
- Lead and manage the supply chain team, providing guidance and support.
- Conduct performance reviews and provide training and development opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and standards.
- Identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop mitigation strategies.
- Prepare regular reports on supply chain metrics and performance.
- Use data and analytics to drive decision-making and strategic planning.
