Experience

Additional Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of working experience in operational risk management or a related field
  • Any professional certification would be an added advantage such as CFA/FRM/CERM/ISO certification in risk management area/ etc.
  • Proven track record of effectively managing and mitigating operational risks
  • Experience in developing and implementing risk management policies and procedures.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in customer centricity, self-propelled, and capable of meeting deadlines.

BRAC Bank seeks an ambitious, intelligent, purpose-driven, and enthusiastic individual for the following position in its Risk Management Division:

Grade: SO- SPO

Policy & Risk Management Framework

  • Ownership of the Operational Risk Framework and build upon the existing processes to enhance and further embed the culture and governance pertaining to operational risk within the business
  • Facilitate bank wide risk management in coordination with respective stakeholders, unit heads & business partners
  • Identify gaps by using various risk management tools, e.g., forward-looking risk assessment, regulatory risk review, etc.
  • Lead root cause analyses of operational risk / loss events across the business to ensure appropriate remediation where issues or trends emerge
  • Conduct risk assessments on various projects running in the bank. Visit different units as and when required

Risk Awareness

  • Perform risk-based awareness sessions, workshops & training for existing staff & new joiners including team members. Conduct risk distribution workshops across / distribution network ROC & other units

Process, Policies & PPG Framework

  • Understand the requirements of the departments & identify the gaps in process, policy & PPG requirements; review the policies, process & PPG from ORM perspective
  • Ensure that all policies, processes& PPG s are up to date & with no control design gaps.
  • Automation of Risk Management Systems & Projects
  • Explore opportunities for risk automation by using system tools & involving innovation studio
  • Contribute to process improvement by ideation & actively participating in the execution; act as a project manager for various projects aimed at automation / tech-enablement of risk management systems
