Responsibilities & Context
- Supervise daily laboratory operations and guide junior staff
- Ensure proper sample handling, registration, and tracking.
- Perform and oversee advanced physical, chemical, and colorfastness tests (ISO, ASTM, AATCC, BS, GB/T).
- Ensure accuracy and reliability of test results. Review and approve test reports.
- Prepare detailed test summaries and communicate results with QA, merchandising, and buyers.
- Assist in buyer audits and respond to technical queries.
- Monitor calibration schedules and ensure ISO/IEC 17025 and buyer compliance.
- Maintain test records, logbooks, and verification documents.
- Ensure lab is audit-ready at all times.
- Lead investigations into test failures.
- Provide corrective and preventive action plans.
- Keep updated with testing standards and customer requirements.
- Ensure safe handling of chemicals and equipment.
