Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor in Engineering (BEngg) in Electrical & Electronic Engineering
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, or a related field.

Experience

Additional Requirements

  • Age at least 35 years
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in power generation, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.
  • Proven experience in the RMG or manufacturing sector is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing large-scale power generation operations.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful power generation strategies.Strong understanding of power generation technologies, including generators, transformers, and distribution systems.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders across different SBUs and departments.

Responsibilities & Context

The AGM – Power & Energy will be responsible for overseeing the power generation operations across all Strategic Business Units (SBUs) within the Group. The role involves ensuring efficient, reliable, and cost-effective power generation, while also implementing energy-saving initiatives. He will coordinate activities from the Corporate Head Office, ensuring alignment with the company’s strategic goals.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive power generation strategy for the entire RMG group, aligned with business needs and sustainability goals.
  • Oversee the operation and maintenance of existing power generation assets (generators, transformers, etc.) across all SBUs.
  • Conduct regular energy audits and identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements in power generation.
  • Collaborate with SBU heads and plant engineers to ensure optimal power utilization and minimize power wastage.
  • Stay updated on the latest trends and technologies in power generation, including renewable energy options.
  • Prepare and submit budget proposals for power generation expenditure.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant environmental regulations related to power generation.
  • Coordinate with relevant departments to ensure smooth power generation operations.
  • Prepare reports on power generation performance metrics and present them to senior management.
  • Develop and implement contingency plans for power outages and other emergencies.
  • Lead response efforts during power-related incidents, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
