Responsibilities & Context

The Asst. Manager, Mechanical will play a vital role in maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing the performance of machinery in the Lead Acid Battery manufacturing factory. This position requires in-depth technical knowledge of complex machinery, with a focus on enhancing productivity and minimizing downtime. The ideal candidate will lead mechanical support efforts, implement preventative maintenance strategies, and work towards continuous improvement in machinery performance and efficiency.

Technical Support and Troubleshooting:

• Provide advanced technical support and expertise on Generator, Compressor, Sub-station.
• Ability to operate, troubleshoot, and resolve complex mechanical and electrical issues.
• Machinery includes Grid Casting, Pasting Mixer, Lead Cutter, Luck cutter, Wrapping machines.

Inspection, Diagnosis, and Repair:

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical and electrical equipment as required. Address minor and major breakdowns promptly to ensure minimal disruption to the production process.

Preventative Maintenance:

• Develop and execute regular preventative maintenance schedules to ensure continuous operation and longevity of machines.
• Identify and implement maintenance improvements to extend equipment life and reduce parts wear and tear.

Process Optimization and Workflow Enhancement:

• Analyze and optimize workflows to ensure machines operate at peak efficiency.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to integrate best practices and maximize machine output.

Machine Installation and Monitoring:

• Lead efforts in the installation of Battery making related machines and monitor their performance.
• Ensure that machines are installed and calibrated to factory specifications for optimum performance.

Reporting and Analysis:

• Regularly report on machine performance, identifying key trends and potential areas for improvement.
• Develop and implement strategies to reduce equipment wear and extend machine life.

Maintenance Management System:

• Plan, implement, and sustain an effective maintenance management system.
• Ensure all maintenance activities are documented and align with factory standards.
• Continuous Improvement and Employee Development:
• Promote continuous improvement in equipment reliability and machine capabilities.
• Train and support staff in effectively utilizing advanced machinery and technologies to optimize productivity.
• Collaboration with Management and Staff:
• Work closely with managers and staff to achieve optimal production levels using advanced mechanical technology.
• Provide technical insights and training to improve the team’s operational efficiency.
