Requirements

Education

  • B.Sc in Textile Engineering from any reputed University like KUET/AUST/BUTEX/Prime Asia/City/Southeast/NITER etc. with CGPA of 2.75 or Above.
  • Having major in Yarn Manufacturing / Fabric Manufacturing / Textile Engineering Management is must.

Additional Requirements

  • 0 – 1 years of experience in related field for Asst. Officer and 2 – 4 Years of experience for Officer from a large Knit Garment Industry;
  • Team building, enthusiastic, innovative and result oriented Keen knowledge about operation breakdown or machine layout;
  • Strong knowledge about bottleneck point, line balancing, SMV efficiency and sample making;
  • Ability to ensure quick changeover and analyze & assess product risks, critical operations, quality issues in advance before production;
  • Willing to stay beside factory at own accord;
  • Well conversant in MS-Office;

Responsibilities & Context

Yarn Management:

  • Manage and maintain yarn inventory levels to meet production demands and minimize downtime.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits and cycle counts to ensure accuracy and prevent stock discrepancies.
  • Implement best practices for yarn storage, handling, and preservation to prevent damage and degradation.
  • Collaborate with the procurement team to source and order yarns based on production requirements and forecasts.
  • Inspect incoming yarn shipments for quality, ensuring they meet company standards and specifications.
  • Address any quality issues with suppliers and coordinate corrective actions as necessary.
  • Maintain detailed records of quality inspections and supplier performance.
  • Utilize inventory management software to track yarn inventory levels, usage, and procurement activities.
  • Generate regular reports on yarn inventory status, usage trends, and procurement performance.
  • Work closely with the production, R&D, and design teams to understand yarn requirements and production schedules.

    Research and Development:

  • Development of new knitting products, from concept to prototype to final production.
  • Experiment with various yarns, fibers, and knitting techniques to create innovative fabric designs and products.
  • Analyze existing knitting processes to identify areas for improvement in efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.·  Test and evaluate the performance of new materials in knitting processes.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including design, production, and marketing, to align R&D efforts with company goals.
  • Present research findings, product prototypes, and process improvements to management and other stakeholders.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, advancements, and best practices to inform R&D activities.
  • Prepare technical reports, documentation, and presentations for internal and external use.
