Responsibilities & Context

Accountabilities:

  • Planning vehicles movements, tracking individual trips, and ensuring implementation of security measures
  • Tracking consumption of supplies, fuel, lubricants, used in different facilities (office, house, store, etc.).
  • Checking the maintenance of the various open spaces (gardens, courtyards…) and ensuring that domestic waste is correctly discarded
  • Checking and ensuring the maintenance of MSF premises and facilities, as well as the general water supply, electrical, walls, ceilings etc. And security conditions. In this sense, making inspection visits to assess the rehabilitation needs of facilities.
  • Performing maintenance of logistics equipment for cold chain, energy, IT and radio communications, in particular:
  • Inventories and the reallocation of equipment.
  • Renewing the authorization to use radio material with local authorities.
  • Checking the quality of the work carried out on generators and electrical installations.
  • Preparing orders for his sector activity, do the follow-up, and checking their proper reception and state.
  • Carrying out local purchases and ensuring that the line manager is aware of any problems linked to the quality or availability of the items to be purchased.
  • Participating in trainings at the request of the line manager

MSF Section/Context Specific Accountabilities:

  • To maintain and replace any components of the water and electric system when necessary·
  • Follow-up on job requests and perform maintenance & repair work in the MSF office, warehouse and guest/transit houses.
  •  Checks any equipment in the houses (electrical system, water system, kitchen equipment, refrigerator, air conditioner etc.) in case of failures or problems reported by anybody from the team.
  • Maintain and follow-up of inventory at the MSF guest/transit houses, office and warehouse.
  • Follow up and supervise daily labours, oncall drivers whenever needed.
  • Ensure the generator is regularly refueled and that routine oil changes are completed to schedule.
  • Inspects materials and equipment, repair if minor repair is required or inform his supervisor for major repair.
  • Perform any other tasks/activities as instructed by the immediate supervisor.

Compensation & Other Benefits

  • 12 month- contract renewable based on performance and operational needs. Salary according to level Five (5) of the internal MSF salary grid (BDT 56000 Gross). Salary is non-negotiable. Income tax deduction from salary based on current income tax rule.
  • 02 annual leave days per month worked.
  • Medical insurance for employee and direct dependents based on Health Care Policy- Locally Recruited Staff.
