Education
- Bachelor of Science (BSc)
- The candidate must possess a bachelor’s or master’s degree in any discipline with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 or its equivalent, indicating a second class/division or comparable academic standing in all examinations from a recognized university.
- BSc in Agriculture or Textile will be preferred
Experience
- At least 10 years
- The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): NGO, Agro based firms (incl. Agro Processing/Seed/GM)

- In-depth knowledge of sericulture project management, silk and silk goods production processes, supply chain dynamics within the sericulture industry, and proficiency in silk marketing, sales strategy, financial oversight, and holistic business operations

Responsibilities & Context
- Direct and manage the comprehensive activities of the silkworm egg production center and sericulture farms, encompassing mulberry cultivation, silkworm rearing, and cocoon harvesting, ensuring optimal productivity and sustainability
- Administer the operations of silk reeling, spinning, and weaving centers, implementing quality enhancement measures to elevate product standards and meet industry benchmarks
- Facilitate seamless integration and coordination among silk weaving and fabric production centers, maintaining the integrity and efficiency of the silk value chain
- Guarantee a consistent and high-quality supply of essential raw materials, including cocoons and raw silk, to support uninterrupted production processes
- Lead initiatives for staff development, focusing on technical proficiency, managerial acumen, and effective communication, fostering a competent and cohesive team environment
- Formulate and execute annual budgets and business plans, oversee financial accounts, and implement cost-control strategies to ensure fiscal responsibility and organizational profitability
- Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme’s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment
- Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
- Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so
- Perform any other jobs as assigned by the management
