Requirements

Education

Bachelors/ Masters in Finance and Accounts or any relevant subject from any UGC approved reputed university/ institute.

Experience

  • At least 1 year
  • The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s):
    NGO, Development Agency

Additional Requirements

  • Basic understanding on accounting procedures, bookkeeping, bill & vouchers validation etc.
  • Knowledge on budget management.
  • Knowledge on MS Office Applications
  • Communication skill both in English and Bengali

Responsibilities & Context

The role of Branch Accounts Officer in a recruitment context typically refers to an individual responsible for overseeing and managing the financial and accounting activities at a specific branch of an organization.

  • Carry out day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping of respective branch accounts office
  • Ensure timely posting of transactions in accounting software of HCMP
  • Assist ensuring organizational standard accounting procedures are followed for all payments to vendors / partners, advance liquidation and prepare & disseminate financial reports timely
  • Prepare staff salary sheet
  • Prepare and update asset register for HCMP
  • Verify and disburse salary to staff
  • Prepare reports and submit to UAM and RAM if necessary
  • Submit cash requests to Upazila Accounts Manager on a regular basis to ensure financial support for project operation and prepare Bank reconciliation
  • Assist in preparing the monthly financial reports
  • Deposit all funds (both cash & checks) into the appropriate bank accounts
  • Maintain accurate financial records
  • Maintain proper documentation and recording of documents and information
  • Maintain staff attendance register
  • Maintain leave & movement register
  • Participate in procurement meeting on regular basis.
  • Need to participate and ensure quotation collection process as per guideline.
  • Execute any other task assigned by supervisor/ management.

Report Writing:

  • Weekly Cash Requisition
  • Teachers’ salary payment report
  • Tax & VAT reporting etc
  • IOU pending report

Safeguarding

  • Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme’s goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
  • Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
  • Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so.
