Responsibilities & Context
We are seeking a Business Development Personnel to lead our Sales and Marketing efforts and drive growth for Bashundhara Chemical Industries Ltd. This role is responsible for building, managing, and leading a dynamic team that will contribute to the company’s expansion goals and market share. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Chemical Engineering, along with significant experience in business development and sales leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership & Development: Build, lead, and manage the sales and marketing team to achieve business growth objectives. Foster a positive and high-performance team culture that promotes collaboration, accountability, and excellence.
- Market Strategy: Develop and execute business development strategies to expand market reach, identify new opportunities, and drive revenue growth in line with the company’s long-term goals.
- Sales & Revenue Growth: Lead and oversee sales operations to ensure that sales targets and revenue growth are met consistently. Develop and implement effective sales strategies and marketing campaigns to penetrate target markets.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, distributors, and industry stakeholders. Ensure customer satisfaction and identify opportunities for cross-selling and up-selling products and services.
- Market Research & Competitive Analysis: Continuously assess the chemical industry landscape, market trends, and competitor activities to make informed decisions and maintain a competitive edge.
- Reporting & Performance Analysis: Provide regular reports to the Head of Project / COO regarding team performance, sales figures, market analysis, and business opportunities. Track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure progress.
- Budget & Resource Management: Oversee the allocation of resources for the business development function, ensuring efficient use of time, manpower, and financial resources.
- Strategic Planning: Contribute to the overall strategic direction of the company, offering insights and recommendations based on market conditions, customer needs, and company objectives.
- Frequent Domestic Travel: Be willing to visit the country market frequently to assess new business opportunities, engage with clients, and ensure the implementation of sales and marketing strategies.
